This cute, clean and open cafe is perfect for a business network coffee or catching up with a friend.
I had the Caramel roll which I would ask it's warmed next time and their iced matcha latte. SOO GOOD. You like matcha? You gotta try.
They have canned non coffee drinks and assorted pastries.
I need to go back and try a heated protein dish. -

If you're waking down 1st st in the morning and smell something heavenly its probably the bachelor farmer cafe!
If you're looking for a solid cup of coffee this is a great spot. You'll find some fun baked goods that set this spot apart from other Minneapolis cafes. They have the staples like croissant, but usually have a few extra options that you won't find else where.
They have a very fun fresh look and a great patio for warm summer days! You'll also find fun hip magazines not often found at other coffee spots; making your time sipping your coffee all that more enjoyable. -

This place came HIGHLY recommended from a friend (which may have worked to their disadvantage. I may have had too high of expectations). He promised the best coffeecake in the world and better-than-average coffee!
Of course I ordered the coffeecake, which really did look good, and a cappuccino. I didn't realize until after I had ordered that the cappuccino was one of the few items that came in a single size. Had I known that, I probably would have gotten something different so I could up my caffeine intake to a larger sized order.
The coffeecake wasn't bad, but definitely not that great. Honestly Starbucks' coffeecake is better in my opinion. Maybe it needed to be warmed up? It was just kind of dry. Anyway, I was disappointed. My cappuccino was also pretty bitter, so overall I was hoping for something a little more impressive.
The coffee shop itself is cute and homey, and it's in a great location! Parking normally would have been ample, but there was construction happening on the couple streets surrounding, so it was a little further walk for us. Under normal circumstances, we probably could have found a spot close!
Overall, I don't know if I would return. Minneapolis/St Paul has so many awesome coffeeshops, I have a hard time justifying another trip for dry coffeecake and bitter coffee. -

Came here for dinner with a work group and we basically tasted almost the whole menu. Everything was delicious!! The Monday pork chop was the best entree item. The walleye was a bit salty for my taste, fried Brussels were great, grilled zucchini and wild rice sides were delicious. We tried all sweet desserts with my favorite being the coffee ice cream Sunday. Yum!

Cute cafe with very bright and airy ambience and pretty good food. The interior decor is very clean, and the staff is super friendly. I do wish their pricing were more transparent - I'm not a fan of how the daily menu and bakery items don't have displayed prices, especially since some of the prices are rather high.
Highly recommended:
-Wild rice porridge ($7 for small) - absolutely delicious. It's very rich and filling, and on the more sugary side, but the walnuts on top stop it from being overly sweet. The flavor was blueberry and apple when I tried it, but I believe it changes daily. The pat of cardamom butter on top was the perfect touch.
Good:
-Egg open sandwich ($6) - open sandwich topped with chopped egg, mustard aioli, cornichons, capers, and chives. Nothing mind-blowing but I thought this was quite good; the briny flavors and crunchier textures went really well with the egg. Also cheaper than I expected.
-Pull-apart croissant ($5) - scented with cinnamon and cardamom, and caramel-drenched on the bottom, this tasted great but the dense texture was more like a morning bun or cinnamon roll than a croissant to me. I also wish there had been more fleur de sel on top. I don't think their viennoiserie seems to be their strength so I would try something different next time. Also, this was quite expensive for such a small item (overpriced by about $1.50 I think).
